New York Jets Week 4 Inactive List vs Chiefs; Woods, Adams Out for SNF

Hoping to avoid a 3-game skid, the 1-2 New York Jets host the 2-1 defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in their first Sunday Night Football game in over a decade. After a week that saw a handful of lineup changes on the offensive side of the ball, the Jets come into this primetime matchup with relatively good health. Backup offensive lineman Wes Schweitzer, who was in line to start before suffering a concussion in practice last week, will once again be inactive. Rookie Joe Tippmann took over at RG last week and did admirably, allowing 0 pressures according to PFF. RB Breece Hall is also off his “pitch count” according to head coach Robert Saleh, so Hall’s usage should be very heavy after having 31 snaps vs the Patriots.

Defensively, safety Tony Adams is still out with a hamstring injury that has now held him out for two and a half games. Adrian Amos was his replacement last week, with Ashtyn Davis mixed in on a small amount of snaps. DL Micheal Clemons was listed on the injury report with an elbow injury, but was a full participant during the week in practice. Interior defensive lineman Al Woods is a healthy scratch for this game, as the defense appears to be game planning for a pass-heavy game script from Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. Kicker Greg Zuerlein, who crushed a 52-yard field goal in his Week 3 return game, is fully healthy and ready to go. Relief kicker Austin Seibert was released from the practice squad. Here is the full list of inactive players for the Jets on SNF:

  • OL Wes Schweitzer
  • S Tony Adams
  • RB Israel Abanikanda
  • WR Jason Brownlee
  • LB Zaire Barnes
  • DL Al Woods
