Lifeless Jets Embarrassed by Joe Flacco in Loss to Browns

Robert Saleh

Just when you think the Lifeless Jets can’t get any worse, they turn in one of their worst performances of the season to a quarterback they had little need for in Joe Flacco.  Gang Green’s 33 game streak of not allowing a 300 yard passer came to an end as Flacco lit up the Jets defense for 309 yards.

Flacco and the Browns scored early and often as the former Jets quarterback exposed the Jets linebackers time and again, hitting tight end David Njoku several big gains before finding former Jets wide receiver Elijah Moore for a touchdown to put the Browns up 27-7 in the second quarter.

After scoring a touchdown on their opening drive for the first time this season when Breece Hall took a short Trevor Siemian pass 21 yards for a score, the offense shut down and the Browns ran away with it.

Defensive end Jermaine Johnson made the Jets best play of the day when he batted a Joe Flacco pass up in the air that he hauled in himself and ran back for a touchdown,

The loss drops the Jets to 6-10 which has them sitting with the 8th overall pick in the NFL draft.
