Washington’s Troy Fautanu is a fun watch for many reasons. He plays with violence. Physical in the run… but he’s probably got the most in his pass protection tool box I’ve seen from a prospect in awhile. Here’s a sampling. Summary:

Although the Jets would not likely draft Troy Fautanu at 10th overall, he would be a good consideration in the middle of the round should New York trade back. His versatility to be able to play tackle is key, but he is likely to slot in at guard in the NFL. Fautanu has a good frame, specifically his lower half, and it’s evident when he plays with very good leverage. He is able to latch on to defenders and drive them out the play. He could use more consistency with his run blocking, but his pass protection reps are fun to watch.

Outside of Jackson Powers-Johnson, Troy Fautanu is at the top of my list for interior offensive linemen. Fautanu was a last minute opt-out from the 2024 Senior Bowl, which tells you most of what you need to know about his draft stock.
