Last Week — 6 –7 vs. spread, 8 –5 straight up
Year to Date — 42 – 42 – 1 vs. spread, 54 – 30 – 1 straight up
The record is even with ten weeks left. All in all, I feel good about where we are and the road ahead. The first six weeks have been tough, but I think we have a feel for what’s what going forward. Â
Chargers (-5.5) at Chiefs
The Chargers are the better team, but I think the Chiefs will play well after the embarrassment in Pittsburgh.
Chiefs 26 Chargers 23
Patriots (-5.5) at Bills
The Bills just don’t inspire much confidence.
Pats 24 Bills 10
Steelers (-2.5) at Falcons
Big Ben needed last week, and I think he’s shaken off the rust of a horrific off-season.
Steelers 28 Falcons 17
Packers at Dolphins (-5)
There are few teams I would be willing to lay five points against with Miami. Green Bay is one of them.
Dolphins 27 Packers 20
Eagles (-5.5) at Buccaneers
The Bucs stopped a high-powered attack last week in the Bengals. They will keep this one close as well.
Eagles 16 Buccaneers 13
Lions at Jets (-3.5)
The Jets offense should put some points on the board this week.
Jets 27 Lions 20
Panthers at Bengals (-3)
These teams appear headed in two different directions. I like the way Carolina is playing right now.
Carolina 34 Bengals 23
Broncos (-4.5) at Browns
Denver’s defense will win them another one, but it will be tight.
Broncos 13 Browns 10
Redskins at Colts (-9)
The Skins will run it enough against a week Colt’s middle to stay close.
Colts 31 Redskins 24
Vikings at Seahawks (-6.5)
The Seahawks will stifle the punchless Viking offense.
Seahawks 24 Vikings 6
Cardinals (-3) at Raiders
I just can’t take the Raiders.
Cardinals 33 Raiders 21
Jacksonville (-9.5) at Texans
The defense should hold the Texans down, but if Leftwich doesn’t play, I’m off the Jags.
Jaguars 23 Texans 10
Monday – Giants at Cowboys (-3)
The Giants have played very well the last two weeks. Their offense will give the overrated Cowboy defense fits.
Giants 35 Cowboys 23
