D’Brickashaw Ferguson Interview Transcript 10/3/11
On Monday New York Jets offensive lineman D’Brickashaw Ferguson addressed the media. Here is the transcript courtesy of the Jets.
On cleaning up mistakes on the offensive line…
Whenever we have problems like that, it’s always important to find the answer for them. Sometimes it’s not a big problem at all, it’s just blown communication. That can sometimes cause things like that. We’ll go over these things. We had our meetings. We watched the film, so we’re just trying to clean that up.
On the team’s confidence level…
The confidence (level) is real high. I think we’ve had some mistakes. We played an awful game, but at the same rate, we know what we’re capable of. We know that a lot of the things that happened in that game were self-inflicted and if we just execute our assignments and we focus in a little more, dial in, we’ll have a lot more success in the future.
On if he is concerned about the offensive line…
Concerned? Not at all. We’ve been playing together for a while and we’re the type of group that sticks together. We have tough skin, so we’ll look at the plays and say, ‘Hey, you didn’t do what you were supposed to do on that.’ ‘Hey, let’s work together, let’s make the improvements,’ and then we’ll just fix it and proceed.
