Tim Boyle and Several Other Jets not Present on Practice Field

The Jets won’t announce their official 53 man roster until 4pm but the absence of Tim Boyle and several others could offer clues.  Expected by some to be a lock to make the roster, Boyle is reportedly absent from practice this afternoon.

Also absent from practice were rookie tight end Zach Kuntz, defensive tackle Tanzel Smart and wide receiver Malik Taylor according to multiple reporters including Dennis Waszak of the Associated Press and Rich Cimini of ESPN New York.

Fullback Nick Bawden is reportedly on the field along with wide receivers Jason Brownlee, Xavier Gipson and Irv Charles, giving the Jets seven wide receivers as of today.
