Jets Welcome Back Douzable
By Glenn Naughton
In somewhat of a surprise move, the Jets today announced the return of a familiar face along the defensive line in bringing back Leger Douzable who has spent each of the last two seasons with gang green.
Douzable has been an effective back up since joining the Jets but the additions of Stephen Bowen and Kevin Vickerson left many with the impression he would not be returning in 2015 after registering 45 tackles and 4 sacks in his two seasons with the Jets.
General manager Mike Maccagnan has clearly made depth a priority this offseason as he continues to add veterans to a team that has been lacking depth in recent years.
Douzable, Bowen and Vickerson are just a few examples along with yesterdays addition of linebacker Erin Henderson whose signing was preceded by inking former Packers linebacker Jamari Lattimore.
