Jets Announce Cuts
The Jets waived 23 players Saturday. The most noticeable cuts were Ray Mickens, Darrell McClover and Joel Dreessen. The final roster consists of 4 RBs and 6 WRs.  The Jets can now sign up to 8 players to the practice squad. Poteat & Hamilton Added to the Defense
The New York Jets announced today they have signed defensive back Hank Poteat, who had previously been with New England. The announcement was made by Jets’ General Manager Mike Tannenbaum. Poteat, 5-10, 195, was waived by the Patriots on August 29th. The New York Jets announced Thursday they have acquired tight end Sean Ryan, from the Dallas Cowboys for an undisclosed draft pick, and claimed wide receiver Sloan Thomas off of waivers from Tennessee.
